Hi there
I've seen quite a few YouTube videos of people running DTF film through Epson Sublimation printers to create transfers for light colour garments.
Has anyone tried this with a Sawgrass printer? I don't want to screw up my printer as I've had some experience with dtf and head strikes etc

Re: DTF film in Sawgrass Sg1000 Sublimation Printer
You will not get any head strikes as the film is about the same GSM as dye sub paper. However you would have to flush sublimation ink out and then load with DTF ink that you know will work in a Sawgrass printer (which is a gel printer unlike epson).
I can not remember how the rollers were on my Ricoh (Sawgrass) but bear in mind that DTF ink is designed to come out of the printer wet. If you have rollers feeding the film AFTER it has been printed you will get wet rollers and subsequently end up ruining the printer.
In my humble opinion do not try this
