Currently using Epson 1500's but obviously second hand options are becoming scarce. Appreciate L1800 is new version but not a cheap option for what is basuically same amchine with ecotanks.

We print onto specific media that is somewhat transparant. 1500 is the only printer we've found that will see this media. I assume L1800 will also all being well.

Looking at future options and wondering if any other printers may be able to read the film? I've tried a few other newer Epsons with no luck, not tried Ricoh yet.

I know there are 'tricks' to fool some printers, put paper on edge etc. but that's no good for ongoing work.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Is this for sublimation?
I have a cannon I use for eddible inks and it prints to all sorts of media without issue.
If you have a sheet of the media in a4 I am more than happy to test if it picks it up for you.
but I’m guessing you need a3 anyway and most likely sublimation which rules out cannon.

Also as a downside I’m away from Friday for 10 days visiting my folks in Portugal.

Apologies I should have been clearer, yes it's for sublimation.

Only needs to be A4 max as well.

Ah sorry Justin I don’t think cannon can be used for sub printing.
I do have an et2770 I use for mugs and coaster sub though if you get stuck I’m more than happy to try it.
but again the time frame might be an issue?

Times not an issue as it's for future proofing really although I could do with additional printers now as well.

We have ET-2750 but Epson have confirmed none of the current printers will accept the media. They would say that though as it isn't Epson media lol. They weren't much help.
