Was just wondering why the smileys are showing as text and not as smileys?

Where are they text? Thought I'd got away with the extra ones

Most threads I look on they show as text

I've not been able to locate them on this new board yet, so not sure where I'm going wrong

Even the sad face you posted shows as key strokes/text

just tried mine - seems to be working ok

I can see your smiley John, still can't see on the reply box how to access them though

Hi Kaz, scroll down the page to the bottom, in the box there is "Smilies are on" click on this and it opens a new page full of different smilies - copy and paste the text on the left of the one you want. This might be the long way round but it works for me!

Are you using the quick reply box Kaz? No smilies available there, you need to click on Go Advanced.

Thanks, I'll admit to not having seen that "go advanced" option before
