We are getting more requests for vinyl sticker printing (bumper stickers but also labels for tins e.t.c) and heard you can go on staycation for two weeks whilst waiting for the BN-20 to print&cut. Is it that bad and if so any other desktop alternatives? We don't want to go very large due to work space. Thank you. Olly

The Mimaki CJV 150 -75 (80cm) is only a couple of grand dearer at £7k, and is a much faster, 8 colours and suitable for larger signs and banners.
(the wider CJV 150-107 is £8k).

Rolands SG range starts at £8.5k for 75cm wide.
All are large.

If you are limited to about £5k and desktop ( and assuming you already own a good cutter) then consider the 60cm Mutoh VJ 628 printer. 8 colours.

Both the BN and the Mutoh are available from Graphityp so you could compare side by side.

Thank you. We don't have a cutter (sold our unused bullet a few years ago) and will now minimal staff (sadly had to make redundancies last year) then having a print&cutter all-in-one would be beneficial. Unless the learning curve is too steep but hopefully not. 80cm is too wide really as we only want to do small stickers and labels. Will call the company "Graphityp" you mentioned. Cheers.

One downside to the smaller printers is that you are slightly limited to the choice of media available for them.

How about the "Roland VersaCAM SP-300V"? Having spoken to the company you mentioned they basically said stay away from the BN-20 and will have to go wider.

I didn't know they still made them. The obvious next step.
Faster than the BN20. Still a larger machine , though not as big as the SG or Mimaki printers- you will probably need enough room to get behind it to load the media.

The 300V would be serviced 2nd hand but not new indeed. Good to know we would have to get behind the machine so might rethink where it could go.

Check that with the seller. The 300v might just be small enough to reach over and load from the front.

I'm still advertising my Latex 115 print and cut, it's cheaper than the Mimaki right now and over £14k new.

Front loading.

Thanks Justin but that's a beast and we only want to print out small stickers.
