Re: How to cut around printed image with craft robo or other cutter?

hi,
ive been reading up on printing onto dark garments.
it seems there is 3 options.
1. inkjet transfer papers.
2. sublimation white flock.
3. printable flex
with options 2 and 3, the image would beed to be cut out before being pressed onto a dark garment. i havent got a vinyl cutter yet, but im trying to work out how it would be done.
if either printable felx or subli flock is used and printed onto, how would the craft robo or other cutter cut exactly around the image? the image would have to be inserted into the cutter, but how would it exactly line up and cut exactly around the image?
or, do you first cut out the image outline, then have to print exactly onto the cut out shape with bleed around the edges?
im just a little confused on the exact way to do this and get a proper cutout around a printed image.
thanks
