Hi!
Any recommendations please for a decent vinyl cutter that can cut gloss sticker paper accurately? Had a Cricut Explore Air 2 but the sensor couldnt read the markings due to the gloss shine.
Thanks im advance!

Get a cutter with a laser dot system that you line up manually. Very accurate and never fails on any material. My cutter is a Silver Bullet.

Thanks alot, I only need it for A4 sized stickers nothing to big, do you know of any cheaper ones? Its a shame the Cricut cant cut gloss otherwise that would be perfect.

I had a Cameo 2 cutter originally, so that's all I can honestly compare with, but one of it's biggest faults (and it had more than a few!) was the incredibly useless optical system for automatically detecting registration marks. I wasted loads of good material due to this inept system.
Nowadays I have no waste at all on any print & cut job unless I physically make a stupid mistake. The red dot on my laser alignment is visible on all types of material and makes it very easy to get dead accurate contour cuts around my design.

My Graphtec CE6000 is no better. Good vinyl cutter but no good at finding registration marks, and the accuracy wanders after a few feet.

there is few tricks there.
First, Try to cover your cutter so the light is not reflecting of the vinyl. This often cause reg mark reading error. Just use your hand close to the laser so there is no light comming. thats it.
Another one is to use black sharpy and carefuly black the reg marks up. this will help the laser to read the dots.
Both tricks was used by me so i know they work
