Re: Ghost Marks on van

Hi
I removed the lettering from my van and after it I gave the areas a good wash with hot soapy car shampoo but as it dried I could see the ghost marks where the lettering was, I don't want to use chemicals as I'm selling the van and it's in great condition so I don't want to ruin the bodywork.....anyone have any ideas on what to use

Thanks

You will probably need to get it waxed and polished using a buffer. Something like t-cut should work.

Very time consuming and can be hard work. I would look for a valeting company if I were you.

MDP sell a glue remover liquid, which might help.
Usually the problem is that the paint has faded/discoloured slightly in the sun. The area beneth the sign vinyl has been protected. Not a lot you can do about it - it is just one of the pitfalls of buying a used van.
