Where do you all get your canvas photo frame blanks from?

I see [MENTION=1]Justin[/MENTION] you sell various sizes on your site, do you just buy a roll of canvas and build the wooden frame or can I just buy the frame complete?

Hi Mark, I have special frames that fit together without staples and don't have to be stretched. I print the canvas through my Latex machine on rolls.

I have loads of traditional canvas bars for sale if you/anyone wants any?

I would like to know more about these stapleless frames.
Im looking at making a few canvases for family only but not sure where to begin with the frames.
The flatpack cardboard ones look awful.

Yes the cardboard are awful. I keep a stock of the other frames, they're only sold in bulk bit I can find the details and on you.

I have found some A4 sheets of canvas, so I just need stretcher bars now.
Are these what you have [MENTION=1]Justin[/MENTION] and if so how many and how much ?

Is the A4 size the actual size of the canvas, or is it larger and makes an A4 picture once stretched?

An A4 canvas sheet will make a very small picture once stretched over the bars. Remember that the canvas has to be folded over the bars and stapled to the back of them, so there's quite a bit of 'wastage' around the actual image.

I think 6" bars are the shortest you can get but even that size may be too big for an A4 sheet.

I hadn't taken that into account, this is why I love this forum you can always get advice
So I guess my canvas products will have have to take a back seat for a while as I only have the ability to print A4 at the moment.

You could always glue/paste a canvas to harboard backing for mounting in a frame.

I used to sell (many moons ago!) imported oils on canvas at my market stall. The canvases were bought ready painted and flat and I used to stretch and frame them in standard sizes from 8" x 10" to 36" x 48". Later, many of these types of pictures were sold in shops with hardboard backing and no need for stretchers. I still prefer stretcher bars myself and we have paintings in our house that I stretched and framed over 30 years ago that still look as good as new.

I always fitted the wedges to the stretchers to keep them tensioned and to allow later tensioning by the customer if needed. Stretched canvases were fitted into their frames using 'z_clips.'

What sizes do you have available Justin?
Im looking at buying some 12” up to 26”
