Yes, it's an old machine that uses floppy disks! My floppy disks are more often than not corrupt.

I'm trying to make a serial cable connection from my Windows 10 PC running ES3. I have a USB to serial converter and I've connected a serial cable (9pin to 9pin) and setup a 'Send to Stitch Manager' within ES3. When I send the current design via Send to Stitch Manager the embroidery machine frame moves and the following message appears on the machine 'INTERNAL COM ERROR' - I have to switch the machine off!

It's possible the serial cable (9pin to 9pin) is not wired correctly! In Wilcom's support pages https://www.wilcom.com/.../embroiderymachineconnection.aspx
It displays 8 serial cable configurations only one being 9pin to 9pin. Is this the wiring I should use - Diagram V in the above link.

Any help/advice/settings/procedure would be greatly appreciated as I'm using a lot of guess work just now!

John

Hi John. This is a FB forun for Tajima machines. Ive asked a few questions on there and always got right answers. Worth looking at if you have solved your connection problem.

Thanks for that, I'll copy the question to that group.

I soldered a cable together this morning, connected it up and sent a file from Wilcom - the Tajima reacted - moved the frame and then a few errors. The basic problem is I don't know the basics :)

Thanks

John

The group is very helpful. I have a problem with one head and asked the group what could be wrong. I had an answer within the hour.
