Wondering of folks experience with cutter blades

Genuine graphtec cb09ua are about £30 each
generic ones - can get 5 for the same or less.
Edward mathews 'smart knives' £25 inc holder, and half that for replacements.

Blades usually last quite a long time, - often only trshed because the media comes out and they gring against the cutting strip.
BUT - using a blunt blade is a nightmare .....

Do you get what you pay for?

I've used Edward Mathias smart blades for the past 15 or so years, previously in my CX-24 and then Versacamm. I originally ordered a set of 5 and only last March had to order the 5 exchanges...Yes, they have lasted that long...so, true...you only get what you pay for :)

I use the Edward Mathias smart knives in my graphtec ce6000 and while they are good blades I do find they need replacing just as often if not more often than genuine graphtec.

I have 4 blades 3 on standby and one in use so when I need to return for sharpening I don’t have to worry.

I do get through a LOT of vinyl though.

My Silver Bullet blades last for years but I cut everything on a cutting mat.
