The queues at my PO are terrible since covid so I thought I'd try the Royal Mail Parcel drop box. I checked online and was pleased to see there was one quite near where I lived, last time I checked there was one for the whole city but they've introduced loads more. I'd packaged my mug as I would for the post office, in a smash proof box and put it in the drop box but it sounded like it dropped quite a way to the bottom of the tall box! I don't want to give up as I'm thinking these boxes might be useful especially at Xmas or posting at unsociable hours but I need to totally rethink my packaging. Thought I'd check in here to see if anyone else has encountered the same problem and come up with a good solution?

Have you considered a Royal Mail business account (OBA) and then you could get RM collecting from you each day at a set time.

I only have a small trickle of parcels just 1 -2 a day and I try to post them daily as they are for gifts. I don't think that would be enough for them to collect. I did use Hermes collection until covid but my parcels would be sat a week in the porch waiting for collection.
