Does anyone know where I can source a new 10/11oz Standard Durham heater band for my Genie III mug press? Normally I'd go with Listawood, but at £62+VAT it's almost twice the price of similar heater bands.

Hi I’ve got one I don’t use since upgrading my mug press. It’s like new. I had all three for sale for £30Image

Thanks for the reply but it looks like your Genie mug press heater band is an incompatible model with my Genie III.

I think the Genie III band is “quicker” and I suspect made differently somehow. I have the same model and it really is lightening quick etc.

Hence why I think you might struggle to find a third party supplier.

If I can remember who else sells heat blankets with the same fitting I will post but I think that is what you need to be searching for.

Cheers. How many pressings do you think you've had out of a single heater band?

Literally thousands.

I purchased this press back when FESPA was in London (I can not remember the year!!!) and it still serves me well although I am thinking that the blanket is probably on its last legs now...

I don’t use it everyday as my bulk mugs are done in an oven, but I still use it for my coloured mugs and other items.

45 second print time is superb :-)

You would have to check with the folks at The Transfer Press to confirm due to the amount of copies out there, but at first glance their multi-mug press appears to be the same as the press sold by Listawood as the Genie III.
Their replacement heater bands are £35+vat

Great info. I'll get in touch with TTP and see what they've got to say. Thanks a lot.
