Hi
Can anyone help please.
I have x2 issues.

1. I've just brought a mug press from eBay Freesub ST 130
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372991446464
The mug element has bubbled up after half dozen presses.
is this correct?
please see picture 1.

2. After pressing x6 mugs on ceramic camping mugs,
https://www.xpres.co.uk/ceramic-camping ... -box-of-36
x6 of them faded at the top.
please see picture 2

Any ideas feedback would be great.
Thank you.

I would say the blanket is knackered, speak to the seller. Fading could well be down to the same issue. What pressure are yiou using?

Is that a Freesub? That's extremely cheap for a mug press imo.

Hi Justin
thanks for the reply.
Pressure is medium.
I noticed the bubble on the element then I used the other side.
The fading at the top has always been there, from my first press.
I have allowed a good gap 7mm top and bottom.
thanks

As Pm the blankets had it.
cheap to replace at £18 from mdp.

the print fade is because there wasn’t enough pressure on the mug.

Hi Mrteajunkie.
I won't PM you now.
Xpres says light to medium.

Are you suggesting to try more than medium pressure?
What settings/tempertures are you using?

I've tried lots of different times and pressures, and no luck at all.
When I first set up the mug press today, the bubbles on the element was not there.
thanks

Does this press need to get to a specific temp before putting mug in? If so are you leaving a blank mug in during heating and cooling?

Blanket should have, all be it very limited, guarantee on it.

yes thats correct, it beeps when its reaches the required temperature.
then I place the mug inside, but I have noticed the temperature does not stay at 185 degrees , it drops right down to about 175 degrees then heats back up as it cooking.
I know it doesn't sound good!
I haven't tried the blank mug bit.

That’s normal.

I do the following.

1- power on set at 185oC
2- timer set at 187 seconds
3- when press beeps insert mug with a firm pressure
4- when countdown reaches 00 remove mug and insert next mug
5- the 187sec will allow the drop in temp time to rise back up to the 185 and leave you with approx 65-80 seconds depending on Mug thickness.

I haven’t had a single problem using this setting.
every mug comes out perfect but your press isn’t the same press As yours is eBay not mdp. (Probably is though)
