I bought a bunch of aluminum water bottles from Longforte and they are described on the website as dishwasher safe and come with no other safety info which should be a good thing EXCEPT I received a sample one from Xpress which is almost identical (apart from the price) but this comes with a slip of paper with loads of safety info. So this makes me feel the safety info should also apply to my Longforte bottles! Where do I stand? Do I pass the Xpress info onto my customers even if they are buying the Longforte bottles. Has anyone else come across this contradicting info and any thoughts on it please?[ATTACH=CONFIG]6167[/ATTACH]

Warnings like that don't instill confidence in the prouduct - I would stop selling them!

They sound like an accident waiting to happen from that safety notice!

As pisquee says above, I wouldn't sell these, knowing what I've just read on that notice.

Well i'd say warnings are good, if risks have been identified they need to be flagged up. I'm more concerned about the bottle that looks like the same materials and same design without any safety warning surely that has all the same risks but they don't bother passing them on!?

Just say 'Do not freeze. Do not microwave. Small parts may be a choking hazard'. That should cover your @rse well enough.

Most disclaimers are there because a previous customer has hooted about a 'problem' and demanded a refund.

Which water bottle is it referring to.
All the aluminium products are obviously not microwave safe anyway.
If you feel unsure just pop a small note in stating

- Not microwave or dishwasher safe.
- Do not freeze.
- Use only non carbonated drinks, don’t use milks or similar items as they may damage the internals.
- If item shows signs of damage dispose of product immediately.

I sell the long forte ones and never had an issue.
I wouldn’t worry too much but to cover yourself add a note if it makes you feel better.

Go to your local supermarket, look at theirs, copy their safety info.

We stopped selling this particular type of water bottle some time ago when we realised that the drink doesn't flow properly from them. tried several UK suppliers who all confirmed the same. Also news from America about children getting their tongues stuck in the stopper due to a vaccum! lol.
