Ok, so just trying to get this straight...
1. Turn on tap, transferring any existing Coronavirus from your hands to the tap.
2. Apply sanitizer or whatever and wash and rinse thoroughly to remove any trace of Coronavirus.
3. Turn off tap, transferring any Coronavirus from the tap back to the hands.
Eh? What? Can anyone explain how this helps combat Coronavirus?
Luckily, all of our home taps are lever taps and not twist types so at least we have the option of turning them on or off without touching them with our hands.

The same thing happens when washing hands after going to the toilet. We finish up by touching our clothing before washing our hands. We then touch clothing...

Is this really a serious question
If you do not know how to use the toilet while there is a pandemic then there really is no hope. Please look at government guidelines that clearly tell you how to use one

You are right, this is a serious time in our lives.
I wash my hands per guidelines and more. ( Happy birthday in German is longer than the English version) . Never touch another surface. I turn the tapes and open the door by dragging my sleeve down and using that to protect myself. Always dry by swinging my hands until they are dry. And every time I receive a packet or have anything to do with the outside world I wash my hands afterwards.
At work the customers will ring the bell. I will ask them to stand back and then I open the door. I can then back away and the customer can come in. I have a barrier between me and the customer and keep at least 2 mtrs away.

That is not what I meant though Earl. What I mean is I can't believe this is a serious thread and it must be a joke. Webtrekker has survived up to retirement age and I am fairly confident he knows how to keep himself from a virus that is why I asked the question.
I just thought I might be missing something.
