Re: Amazon Personalised Product Variations - Barcodes?!

Trying to get set up on Amazon - for our core products everything is OK, but trying to get my head around personalised and variation products.

We have one product (like a photo album), where the customer can choose the colours of the materials for the leather it is bound in and the colour of metal binding it together, and then choose to have a name or message embossed on the outside of the product, and then upto 10 photos on the inside.

If we have
6 different choices of leather colour
6 different choices of metal binding
between 1 and 10 photos inside
and whether or not they want the leather embossed

This would require a lot (720?) of barcodes if every potential combination needed one

(10*6*6*2) = 720

Am I overthinking this, or is there a way to do this on Amazon without each variation needing a barcode number?

I am also on Amazon done few listings and come across with your issue ..It seems you need a barcode for every variant . ,..Its so annoying lol..Ive seen that we can get a GTIN exepmtion if thats the case we might not need bar codes !! ..Please update me if you come across with a solution ...

Yes I am on it too and they have accepted quickly .....Custom items you dont need a bar-code /UPC Codes but you need to apply to get GITN exemption ..Which I didnt really understand so did not try yet ..But if you get the it approved you dont need bar-codes for every variation as you do now ..!!
