Hi,
Im new on here, recently ive purchased a sublimation printer (wf7710) and sublimation ink (JacK inks), I have requested the printer profile settings installed. Niow when i go to print its fine, but when im actually applying to clothes the image is blurred and the colours dont really come through. Im pressing at 400 for 45secs.
Please if any one can help, would be greatful.
Thanks

assuming Celsius, you want 200 degrees, and 60 seconds is a good starting point.
Your colours will never be right without the correct ICC profile though.

sorry yep 400f converts to 200, tried it for 60 seconds with the colour profie from the ink provider, still dull, could it be the material?

Is the material you are trying to sublimate to white 100% polyester?

If it it's not poly it won't work properly at all
if it's a poly/cotton mix, only the poly fibres will accept the ink giving a washed out look
if it's 100% poly, but an off-white, grey or colour, then your colours will never be right, as you are dying your sublimation inks into the fabric (so your colours will mix with what is already there) rather than printing on top of them.

That’s your issue right there.
you can’t sublimate onto cotton.

As has been said, you cannot sublimate cotton. You may think it has worked but your print will wash out completely in the first wash.

As said, polycotton (min 65% polyester) or polyester (best option) I tend to press at 200c for 50-60 seconds depending on the gsm and weave of the fabric. The paper can also have an input on how well the ink transfers (how bright it is) a HR high release paper is best for fabrics and porous substrates. Lastly a Teflon sheets will help with distribution of heat and again makes a good difference when pressing on fabrics as it prevents risk of scorching the fabric and improves ink transfer.
