Re: Budget Epson L1300 Ecotank A3 Subli printer

Hello,

Would like to hear any opinions on this Ecotank. I could source it quite cheaply so that's a budget A3 Ecotank printer. The supplier has his own brand of inks (around the same price as Sublinova) and mentions that as long as it's used the printhead will not clog. I am interested in buying it though but use Sublinova ink. Would that be a good idea? And where would it be possible to buy an ICC profile for that particular printer? Should be mentioned that it's a 4 colour Ecotank.

Thanks in advance.

Haven't seen it for sale in the UK, but it looks almost identical to the ET14000, which is based on the old 1500w. If it is an Et14000 then 280 ( the price you quoted before your edit) is very cheap, and it will make an excellant sub printer.

The only thing that I'm afraid of is that some people have had problems with L1300 mentioning that the blue colour is printed like purple. Like the thread below

https://www.t-shirtforums.com/t-shirt-p ... 50434.html

So instead of taking risks and buy cheap, pay twice, I think I will go along the route of buying a decent printer like the ET14000 offered by Inkexperts. At least I know that I would get a printer that is tested to work well with sub inks and if there would be anything Alex and Christian would always be helpful and help one out.

The ET14000 is superb although a bit slow.

Thanks raydavies. A superb A3 printer is exactly what I need. For the slowness I will need some patience, but should be bearable :)

I can recommended the Epson ET-14000. I bought it in May and I am really happy. As Ray mentioned is a bit slow but is a great sublimation printer.
Je peux recommander le Epson ET-14000. Je l'ai acheté en mai et je suis vraiment content. Comme Ray l'a mentionné, c'est un peu lent, mais c'est une excellente imprimante à sublimation.
Hello!
Sorry for my English.

Can you tell me if Forever Subli-Light is compatible with Epson ET-14000?

My Epson XP-900 is not compatible, ink stains all over the subli-light sheet (besides this printer is horrible for sublimation).

Hi,

I don't try it yet. I use the sublimation paper provided by the inkexperts team which is I think 120gsm because a thin paper is not really good for use on the Epson ET-14000. For polyester materials I sue S-Race paper which is very good in my opinion.

Thank you!

I would like to use forever subli-light no cut paper to make markings on cotton t-shirts.

So, my dead Epson Xp-900 does not work with Forever Subli-light (ink stains, besides with the Xp-900 I have never had good results, cleaning of the head ^ compulsory at all times ... blur, ink mist , Not precise...)

Regards

I thinking to use that paper as well but I found it very expensive. If I try in the next future I will let you know :)
