Hello,
I first signed up on here in 2014 as I was interested in Mug Sublimation, but then talked myself out of it, as there seemed to be a constant string of problems sublimating on mugs - it's an art rather than a science

Anyway, I'm back to read the forum again as I interested again...

Hi there and welcome back! Hopefully things will be a little more straight forward for you now, you'll probably notice a difference in printers and inksets which will make a big difference.

Thanks.
Yeah, I've narrowed printers to Sawgrass Virtuoso SG400 or go cheap with an Epson.
And I'm swaying more toward, a halogen oven or an air fryer, rather than a Press.
Must keep reading....

I switched to an oven a while back and honestly have never looked back, just run about 30 mugs through and it was painless, so much easier than a press. Have a search for Blizzard ovens on here, very interesting read, this is what I (and other members) now use.
Look at joining our Premium Membership for £10 a year, we can give you some good discounts on inks and equipment etc. and save you a fair bit there.

I will definitely be joining, I was a member back in 2014
I've read the
Blizzard oven thread and will probably go that route eventually, however just starting out I'm not expecting to sell much and an air fryer or halogen heater is cheaper (to buy & run), and smaller.

Hello,
Welcome back to the forums. Now there is no talking yourself out of it
If you're looking for a budget alternative, nothing could go wrong with Ecotanks. They are quite affordable. Make sure that you get one with the right set of inks for example Sublinova. Contact Christian at Inkexperts, they will help you out.

Hi
Welcome there is a lot of help on here webtrekker is probably the guy for halagen ovens.
I have just gone to an epson ecotank (l1800) and so far seems great came from a ricoh sg3110dn similar to the sg400 and both have been great for mugs.
Premium membership is a must for the discount alone but mainly to give something back to the forum.as there is a wealth of information on here.
