I am about to do 2 travel mugs for teachers presents. I have not produced travel mugs before, Would the settings be the same as ceramic mugs, or,... hotter, not as hot, longer/shorter time? etc. Any help / advice would be greatly apreciated.

The travel mugs I am using are:
Aluminium,
Silver (poly coated, specific dye sub mugs)

Using standard mug press ( I am told that this will suffice)

Tia.

I don't do travel mugs either, but I sublimate aluminium sheet at 190 deg C for 60 seconds and it prints well.

Yeah I do ali sheets too, and get great results. I guess whats throwing me with the travel mugs is that they have a clear poly coat, as oppose to the white of ali sheets etc.

Thx anyway. I think I will use the ali plate settings.

I've printed Silver and Mirror Silver ali sheets, as well as the white ones. They come out good, with the same settings, but remember that dyesub inks are semi-transparent so the aluminium shows through to some extent, so you may want to make your colours more vibrant. Black seems to print particularly well though.

I did some of these myself a few days ago.
settings used: 180c for 50 seconds and all went fine for me.
