Hi folks

Does anyone know anyone who can print tile stickers (the stickers you put over existing ceramic tiles to change the way they look)?

I'm guessing they need to be
  • fairly thick
  • strong adhesive
  • fully opaque
  • waterproof
  • scratch resistant
At the mo I dye-sub my designs onto ceramic tiles, but stickers would be a useful alternative.

Thanks for any pointers!

Ruth

Hi Ruth. I'm currently experimenting with clear C119 self-adhesive sublimatable transfer film from I-Sub Supplies - https://www.isub-supplies.co.uk/catalog ... lt/?q=C119

As to it being waterproof, I haven't checked that as my intended use is not for products that normally come into contact with water.

Thanks Webtrekker - that's interesting! I've never come across film before.
Not sure it'd work for tiles (I suspect tile stickers would have to be opaque rather than clear...) but I can think of all sorts of other possibilities... going to get some :)

Yeah, it would work better on plain white tiles I suppose.

It prints well, using the settings provided on the I-Sub page, and the heat doesn't seem to affect the adhesive. Just make sure you print on the correct side! :-)
