We've had this issue a couple of times with grey, self-sealing mailing bags. They stink is like something resembling an old, un-emptied ash tray. I've noticed the same smell with re-cycled bin bags but, as they go outside, it's not a problem. Any fabric item would become unuseable if it were to pick up this smell.

The supplier says it's because they're re-cycled and it's good for the environment - it's not good for our environment!

has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

Ray

Yes years ago. There are other mailing bags which don't stink, but ditch the plastic and use a box. They only cost 20 odd pence.

Where do you get your boxes from Gooner?

I only normally buy from Rajapack but could always use a lead to another supplier :-)

I'm double boxing these days, so Subliblanks for the smashproof box and then into a 152mm square box here:

I had this problem opened a box of new small ish grey bags and posted some polo shirts. Customers then complained and we binned all the bags and brought them from elsewhere.

I use the A4 mailing boxes normally from ebay about £30 odd for 100 boxes, you can get up to an XL in them comfortably. and they go as large letters.
