DSF

I used to be able to convert jpeg/bmp files to DXF files in corel12 but for some reason I'm not able to do it anymore, does anyone know the procedure to do this or does anyone know of any software that can do it easily/cheaply

using Corel X3(i assume it's the same for other versions) just go to export and save as DXF, it's the same for Illustrator.

When I did this ages ago, I used the free software WinTopo (from http://wintopo.com/wintopo-free.htm). You may want to try it out (the paid version is wayyy too expensive, but the free version did work when I last used it).

just a thought but if you are converting to vectors, then VectorMagic used correctly, can give good results I have WinTopoPro and I find VectorMagic can give better results, however redrawing the artwork(depending on your original artwork/image) yourself will be far superior
