Have a Ricoh SG 3110DN (5 years old with no issues), been using refillable cartridges for 3 years now with no problems. Self clean is on...

All of a sudden now get an error SC28112, which is I believe the Cyan cartridge... cant get passed the error! looked at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l21ewmTxDJE

Does anyone advise anything? replacing the refillable cartridges for new ones? or could it be something more serious like the main board!

Any help appreciated, thank you.

Refillable carts do wear out and that could be the problem.

As you already think it is the cyan cart I would recommend you replace all the carts and see what happens. If no joy then it might be a new machine, but at least you will already have the carts :-)

Ok thanks for the info, yes I think thats the only way forward... good to know the carts do wear.

Replacing the cartridges worked, no issues...

From the Service Manual, the actual SC28112 error is: 'Ink supply timeout error (Tank 2 error)'

The solution (according to the manual) - 'Turn the printer off then on again!' :biggrin:
