I'm thinking of getting a 'printable flex' set up ready for the summer and wondered if anyone has used it?

Obviously I'd like to get a DTG printer but my pockets are empty for this kind of expense, and the WOW t-shirt stuff is to fiddly for me (my opinion - I've fingers like bratwurst sausages!), so this is the next best thing for decorating dark garments.

So, does anyone use it?

Not quite sure what the difference is between that product and good quality opaque inkjet transfer paper?

Did try some sublimation vinyl once. It was both heavy and awful. Felt like a raincoat welded to the front of a tee (yuk)!!

You need Epson Durabrite ink to print on it (to avoid colour fade in the sun etc) and you would need to ensure that the cutter cuts it out to avoid any white areas and

"Once the image has been cut out it can be pressed onto the garment for a permanent transfer. This transfer is stretchable and can be washed up
to 60 degrees Celsius."

I haven't seen it anywhere else apart from BMS though.

so i think like dreamglass. i think is something like transfer paper but on roll.

the one I'm on about Paul is precut to a4 / a3 sheets and you print with registration marks and then cut with your cutter

I don't know how thick the above stuff is but Printable Flex is slightly thicker than garment flex and once you've printed on it with Epson durabrite inks (or known as "UltraChrome" ink) then the final image is permanent, washable and the image won't crack or peal like some of the inkjet films can. If you're doing large prints then you will feel this on a garment, but with the use of the Craft ROBO (soon to be called the Craft ROBO Silhouette) then this is great for full colour logos/ badges.

There are thiner options available, such as the OBM5.6 Magic Touch film that is used in laser printers and there is also a sublimation paper that has the same properties as OBM5.6 so you can use sublimation printing to heat press onto a thin white material and then heat press that onto a garment.

Has it 'got' to be Epson Durabrite Ink Martin, or can another version of 'pigment' ink work? I only ask as this will save costs and I could then get an ciss ink system with pigment ink.
