Hi All, just joined so firstly hello too ALL and have to say thanks to the creators and users for a great and informative site. Im just in the midst as a complete noob starting out to create a new apparel line, so looking forward to absorbing as much knowledge as I can from this forum.
I also just wanted to ask if anyone has been to the Printwear & Promotion Live events before to determine if its worthwhile me going?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.
Ultimately, only you can decide if it's worth the hike from Romford. Train fares are not cheap, certainly not from my area, and car parking is a hefty £12, perhaps even more for 2019 :frown:
However, there will be plenty of suppliers to interest you both in sublimation items and clothing with the prospect of grabbing a few free samples.
Not sure what you mean by " starting out to create a new apparel line, ".
It seems there are many people who think that by printing a few tshirts they suddenly have a "clothing brand" That isn't really going to happen. Have a look at EBay, Amazon and others to get a reality check on prices, fees charged, card sale costs, real cost of stock (i.e. remembering that suppliers will add VAT and carriage costs to the advertised price), your delivery costs to customers if selling on line, etc., etc.. Not an easy game.
Consider signing up as a premium member here. It's only £10 a year and you will easily get your money back and more with the discounts you receive.

Hi Justin and StellaD, thank you for your messages.
StellaD, apologies for the vagueness of my statement 'starting an apparel line'

, well Im aiming to develop a streetwear UK clothing brand.... and YES I appreciate that this is going to be very difficult based on competition and costs, but im very optimistic and have been working on this for a few months now. I also have a creative background and technical too, so Im hoping that both combined and years of self employment coupled with a mindset of always being self taught will help me along the way, well I can only hope
I think i will go to the event, as I get a Virgin Train from London which should mean the trip should be within a couple of hours, I also have family in Brum so it will be an excuse to catch up with them too.
Justin, when you say 'DSF' do you mean you and the team will be at the event too; Dye Sub Forum?
Thanks
Rishi

Just me Rishi

But yes, we're having a stand in 2019 to spread the word and help to build the forum further still.
