Just wondering what the best and or easiest ways to unlock the print heads/nozzles are?

I see there's plenty of unblocker fluid kits on amazon and ebay?

The printer i bought had a set of non-oem reset ink cartridges with still some sublimation ink in it and it flows when you look at it but i'm guessing the nozzles are blocked because i don't think it's been used for months.

Can i clean the cartridges out and still use them or just get new cartridges with new ink (i have the new ink to hand but not cartridges).

Just wondering what the options were before i go and buy the head cleaner.

Used a couple of these in the past and found they are a nightmare. Constant nozzle problems so dumped them.

Same here - never again!

Lots of people don't like the WF7110 for various reasons but I had good success when I sold them. The trouble with them is the printing head (in my opinion) was designed for the ET Eco Tank printers, and should have a constant supply of ink to them.

When I sold WF7110 I used to make them 'chipless' which meant they ran an Ecotank style firmware and would never stop and say they ran out of ink, no stopping meant no problems and they worked great.

They are pretty picky about the inks they work with, my personal preference was the Inktec Sublinova inks rather than the cheaper generic sublimation inks (my own generic brand included)

Going forward with yours, I would-

1) Get rid of the existing CISS and ink - if its an unknown brand of ink, CISS is possibly old its not worth messing with
2) Get some cleaning fluid, apply this as instructed through the print nozzles and leave the printer to soak without nay cartridges in the printer over night
3) Purchase a set of cheap generic compatible ink cartridges (just normal ink not sublimation)
4) Download and install WIC Service software found here - https://www.2manuals.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=1149
5) Install and run software
6) Select to perform an 'Ink Charge' this performs a large head clena process
7) Leave the printer to settle for 15 minutes
8) Check your nozzles

99% of the time the above works for me to test a WF7000 series printer is working, once you know it is working (hopefully) you can then look at getting a new CISS and potentially new ink (as above generic inks don't work well in Precision Core printing heads)

My pleasure, as I said a lot of users on the forum really do not like the WF7110. And to be honest I don't blame them, they were quite troublesome especially with cheap generic inks and / or refillable cartridges. I really did not like them for a good while until we found we could run them on a chipless firmware, from that point they were really good especially with good quality inks.

Feel free to PM me if you need advice using the WIC program or cleaning the printer.
