I have an order for 28 Hoodies and want to use the Gildan 18500. The customer wants Burgundy but the Gildan catalogue only shows Garnet.
Has anybody bought this colour and if so, how close is it to Burgundy?
As usual it a last minute order so I have no time to order just one to make sure it the right colour.

Thanks

Gildans 'Maroon' is very slightly darker than the FOTL burgundy ( if that helps). The garnet is slightly more red than the FOTL.
The maroon is closer, the garnet is slightly nicer. I don't think you would really have any problems with either, unless the customer is looking for a direct match.

Sitting on the fence - sorry if this has confussed you.

Thanks.
I have the pantone for both those colours. 188c for the Gildan and 7643c is FOL.
Trouble is, I have an old sample of a Gildan pullover and not sure which of the two colours it is. And the customer has seen it.
Im going for the Garnet, I like it better too. Ill tell the customer that not all sizes were available at short notice. White lie but it gets the job done.
Thanks

7644c is the maroon pantone number. You are probably right - the garnet is the nicer colour. If it is too different just hide the sample you have so the customer can't compare...:biggrin:

When I went to place the order both maroon and garnet were out of stock. There was enough when I first looked but it seems these colours are popular this year. Ended up ordering FOL burgandy.

burgundy = red plus purple
maroon = red plus brown
