I am looking at buying another printer to start printing transfers with sublimation. I have read so many reviews and the more I read the more undecided I am. I would like A3 as I'm only doing t-shirts mugs and hats and not in any great volume. I read the post 'FAQ which printer' which was very useful for all the technical aspects. I have a £500.00 start up budget, can I get anything worth having for this amount. Your recommendations would really help - thank you

If it has to be A3 then your choices are a little limited. The Ricoh A3 printer would be ideal for you but it isn't cheap when you factor inks in.

You can still get the Epson 1500W printer which is superb, we use them in-house for certain projects and they outperform pretty much anything. For £379 you can get the printer/inks etc. from Ink Express, an excellent company, first class service.

Personally I would buy the printer with empty CIS and buy the Inktec SubliNova ink from them. I don't think they offer the Inktec as part of a package but worth asking. Printer would therefore be £369, inks would be £55.....

If you buy some TruPix paper (Premium Member discount with Xpres/Listawood) this would give you a fantastic setup. You'll need a profile, Ink Express may give you this. I can supply you with one of mine which should be fine but ultimately you might would be advised to get your own done (discount again with Premium Membership)

The 1500 is now selling on its own for £350-£400 as prices have risen recently due to demand.
