hi i have just started sublimation printing I did my first t shirt and did a newbie mistake by not filping the name but learnt by that mistake but when I washed it on a 40 degree wash it faded can someone plese tell me why did I not heat long enough or could it be I used wrong side of paper I am new to this thanks

Was it a cotton t shirt? If so that is your problem. You can only sublimate on to a polyester garment or a garment with a high polyester content.

Was your t-shirt 100% polyester? You can only sublimate to items containing polyester, the higher the percentage, the less faded when washed.

If you lick your finger and touch a corner of your paper it should stick more to the coated (printable) side.
