hi. i bought a used ricoh sg2100. i saw a german blog entry about a service menu item "ink discharge", but it wont't work for my model as they only use 5 digit.
is there any code similiar to 3008003 and 3008004 (the codes for resetting waste collector) for ink discharge?
or is cleaning the right way to switch to sublimation ink?

2100 doesn't have a particularly good track record with sublimation, 3110 is preferred model.

I have both and have found no difference at all in use. The only difference so far as I can tell is the 3110 has a duplex facility (hence the big hump on the back) and the 2110 doesn't.
I'd recommend using flushing cartridges and printing out a load of colour photos on plain paper until it ceases to print a colour. The downside of this is getting rid of the flushing fluid. The problem is the length of pipe between the ink tank and the printhead.
My fear is a possible reaction between the old ink and the sublimation ink.
