Is it possible to heat transfer onto Bag Base bags that are polyester? I appreciate the heat could cause issues

This is the bag we're looking at:

It's a polyester combination. ideally I need 170c for 10 secs.

ive done vinyl cuts with heat application at 140 for 15secs without any issues on polyester bags. Done loads of school bags. The link you gave does not link directly to the bag but could you get away with doing a small test run on 1 of the bags?

I did something similar a few years ago and they printed fine. I suppose the only reservation I would have with your bag is that the waterproofing on the bag might not allow the glue to stick to the bag. Otherwise they should print ok.
I used my cap press to do mine. I put the press on the floor and with its smaller platen it was easier to lay the bag on the ground and not hold it while the press did its job.

Yes I'll have to run a test I think. I used to do the polyester school bags and they were find but this is much thicker. 170c might cause issues....i guess we'll see!

Should be ok, but a lower temp. vinyl would be better. If it is a multi layered fabric/laminate you might get some bubbling of the inner layer if you use too much heat ( like you do with softshell at high temp).

Be careful not to melt the plastic parts:biggrin:.
