Does anyone print these?

I've just got round to printing the samples that I got in the sample box from BMS in March

Anyways, they print really well, the problem I had with them was, when I was removing the heat tape, it lifted the colour from the frames

Should I not be using the tape, or have I done something wrong?

If you can lay the sheet perfectly then you don't have to use the tape, but you need to lower your press slowly to stop it moving the paper as the press is closed.

And I had a bit of a faux pas with one of the placemats aswell, didn't realise it had a cling coating on it and wondered why the paper had stuck

Peeled the paper and the cling off and the image had gone on, but not as bright and vibrant as it should've been

I've done a couple of the keyhangers and they do suffer from the same "peeling" that happens on the plaques if you even breathe on them. Seems to me that it's a design flaw more than anything.

For the keyhangers, I print the image in the middle of the paper and then wrap the paper around the keyhanger. To secure the paper, use tape to stick one edge of the paper onto the other edge of the paper where they overlap (on the back of the keyhanger). That avoids the tape being on the keyhanger itself.

Yes Kaz i`ve had the same problem.
i think i`ll try to tape the transfer paper on A3 sheet of paper next time and then lay the plaque down and then fold the A3 over and tape it it to the back of the frame

Seems to me that it's a design flaw more than anything.

There could be something in that, the frames appear to have a mahogany paint/stain on them, and obviously because they're being heated to 190-200 degrees, the paint heats up, hence why it peels when you remove the tape.

When I was doing them yesterday, I had multiple images to one sheet of A3 paper, and had trimmed the required images to a couple of mm larger than the printable area, will try using an A4 sheet the next time, if ever I get any orders for them, lol.
