What's a polydome?

Just put in an order at sublimetals and thought I'd buy a test purchase of cufflinks and tie pin (Valentines getting close so got to think about it )

When I ordered the cufflinks there was an option to buy polydomes so I did.

Anyone know what a polydome is?
