Customers orders 30 Beanies to be embroidered. I order 36 just in case he orders a few more. Today comes a message from him.
He now needs 37 Beanies by this Friday. My next order with the supplier will be at the beginning of next week. Do I order the extra one or wait until next week?
Of course I wait until next week, the transport cost is three times more than the beanie.
Damn annoying that you can never outguess the customer.

If only that was possible. The 30 are still in the machine and the customer knows this. The other 7 will just be add on at the same price.

Charge him postage for the additional beanies?

He works just down the street.

But you bought in enough stock to cover his order? If he orders more you have to order more?

Ive just seen him. He will take the 36 that I have and wait for the one extra next week. No extra charge. He is regular here so dont want to Pi## him off.
The beanies are for his Kagel club (Skittles I think you call it). The firm he works for has their work clothes made here and he is my contact to them. Got to be nice.
