Newbie here, so thanks for your patience in advance!

i'm trying to work out my cost per mug, and right now I'm looking at the cost of the ink.

I am using the Sawdust Sublijet 29ml cartridges with the Ricoh SG3110DN. Please could you advise on how many mugs I can roughly do with this set up - before the ink runs out?

I am using sublijets inks from BMS and my mugs designs are black and of medium detail. They are double sided mugs.

Your first set of carts won't appear to last long as the Ricoh printers hold a lot of ink in the lines. That said, don't panic when it says Ink Low as this can last quite a while still!

Very difficult to work out how many mugs you'll get but tbh it really is pennies once you start to break it down. Your second set of carts will last much longer.

Thank you so much for your help. I've estimated 70p per mug, which is probably too much, but I am erring on the side of caution!

Pence could mean 1 pence or 99 pence so I've gone for somewhere in the middle!

I've always 'assumed' 25p per mug for paper/ink but it is impossible to say really.

I have been Sawgrass Loyal for two years now and going through a set of carts a week which is nearly a grand a month. Just switched over to Subpro GX - the savings are staggering.

Full set a week and you've only just changed? lol. Why are you not on wide format?

technik - how many mugs are you doing a week to use a set of carts?

In the last week printed around 1700 full colour coasters and 100 mugs.

Any suggestions on printer makes Justin? Ideally want to be able to use same or similar ink i have now.
