Hi

Anyone know if the Epson Expression Photo XP-960 can be used for sublimation inks. There an offer on the printer at the moment and I really need a backup to the 7110 I have at the moment as it plays up a lot.

Obviously when funds are available I will be moving away from Epson to a more reliable brand.

Pretty sure it would be ok. I tried an XP-55 recently, 6 colour print was superb. Carts are teeney weeny though.

Thanks,

I might give it a go. I'm not too worried about the small carts plus I'm thinking of giving 6 colour printers a go.

I just need something to provide a back up to the 7110 which has a habit of going down on a regular basis. It went down with blocked heads yesterday morning and I only got it back running again this afternoon after about 3 head cleaner purges and an overnight soak :(

Oh I wish Epson was like the Canon where you just take the head out and give it a wash under hot water to clean it :) but then it probably could not be used for sublimation printing.

With Christmas orders coming in now the last thing I need is another day down because the A3 printer has packed up.

There's a CISS available for the XP-55. Have you had any pizza wheel issues with this one Justin?

I'm on the lookout for a replacement A4 photo quality printer.

Pizza wheel issues was why I stopped using the XP-55. I killed the printer trying to remove them. If you reduce the quality down you get away with it, most folk seem happy to do this. ET-2600 was also a great little printer with the built in eco-tank but same issues.

Sorry to jump on your tread but I have a Epson PX660 that has died on me after giving me 6 years of service. I need to replace it, it also take six inks. Can you recommend a Epson that I can replace it with. I doubt if if I can find a PX66o wondered if the Epson Expression Photo XP-960 is any good and where a place that sells and delivers asp. Many thanks
