I'm using the Ricoh SG 3310DN sublijet printer with sublijet R inks. Ive been using this set up for a little over a year now with no problems what so ever but recently my printer has been leaving a black dotted line through my prints!
It is always on the right hand side and runs from top to bottom of the print, but only when i use black or dark colours in my prints.
I have tried flushing the system with de-ironised water (as suggested in a video on a sublimation youtube channel) and i have tried the "clean all heads" from the printer maintenance menu.
I'm fresh out of ideas, if anybody knows why this is happening and how to resolve the issue then it would be greatly appreciated. I have attached an image of one of my prints with said dotted line.
Thanks in advance
Tracy =)

try running a fresh sheet of paper through.....no image printing....and see if it's still there.

Those are track marks from the paper grip.
The print will pass through the printer head and if the ink has not quite dried then it will be a bit tacky and stick to the wheels that the paper go through to leave the printer.
I sometimes have the problem on some prints. Where possible I moved the print down the paper to give it a bit more time to dry. On a few prints I do it's not possible so I stand over it with a hair dryer on cool to just speed up the drying process before the print hits the wheels.
It can also help to keep the wheels as clean as possible, I give them a daily wipe over with a paper towel and a bit of head cleaner fluid. Helps to stop a build up of ink which seems to encourage the take up as the paper goes under.

No. Still no luck!
No idea of what could be causing this problem, looks like i might have to invest in a new printer which is annoying as this one is only a year old!
