Hi.

I am new to sublimation and would appriciate som input on which ink to choose. I will prob print with epson 1500w. My main products will be photoes on hard substrates like Chromaluxe panels, rock slates and acrylic.

Which of this two systems would be preffered by you guys?
http://www.cityinkexpress.co.uk/ciss/ep ... iginal-ink Original ink from epson
or
http://www.cityinkexpress.co.uk/ciss/ep ... iginal-ink Ink from FotoRite

Or should i rather buy this empty CISS

And fill with http://www.dyesublimationsupplies.co.uk ... -Cyanwhich make my initial startup cost much higher.
Thank you.

You need sublimation ink. Inktec Sublinova Smart and an empty CISS would be a suitable option.

You may not have heard of it, but it's professional ink and doesn't have any of the clogging issues associated with consumer Sawgrass inks.

Pick up a box of Truepix sublimation transfer paper, get an icc profile from your ink supplier and you should be halfway there.

Never tried their ink. I buy their empty refill carts, but their instructions for supplying icc profiles were non existent resulting in poor colours so I stay away from their ink.

I use CIE inks in my Ricoh and they're fine, using the ICC profile supplied with the inks (or just email them for a profile).

I tend to find mug coatings a more serious problem than using cheaper inks. I stick now to Listawood's 10oz guaranteed quality mugs.

Thanks mate. Do you know if they offer international shipping?

About quality mugs/coating, came across this ebay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/72-White-Double ... SwcXpZoFIu

Prob bad quality at that price or what?
