I know this has been raised before but I thought I would show the issues I am having and my thoughts.
This is the test image printed directly from the menu on my Ricoh 3110 printer. There is no obvious banding.

This is printed from my pic through Powerdriver. Obvious banding.

This image was also printed through powerdriver.

Same image direct to my Ricoh NOT through Powerdriver. There are some issues but I believe that is due to there being no ICC involved. The banding has disappeared in the location of the previous image.

Nozzle check

My Powerdriver setting are Trupix paper and unisub products for these images.
I believe that the banding is caused by Powerdriver not the printer as the first image is printed directly from the printer with no PC or ICC involved and it is a perfect print.

Any thoughts from my fellow members would be interesting.

When was the last time you realigned your print heads through the driver?

TBH Never wouldn't even know what that does. Just left it on as instructed and let it do its own cleans and maintenance. When you say through the driver I assume you mean Powerdriver.

I'm not familiar with your printer, but on Epsons it's beside the nozzle check in the maintenance section. My A4 Epson WP-4095 office type printer has more alignment checks than my A3 'photographic' 1500W.

Thanks Gary
I can access menus in the printer or through Powerdriver. Both are different. I think this is a Powerdriver issue due to the fact that the test print direct from the printer not via any software is fine. The printer does not even need to be connected to print this.

The banding almost looks like draft quality. Can you change the paper settings to something higher than plain paper or 'best photo'?

Or perhaps a Windows update has upset the powerdriver.
