Hi,

I'm a newbie and don't do any sub printing. I'm trying to find out how to make the iron-on transfers that you can get for embroidery patterns. They are a plain sheet of paper (and I've been reliably informed it isn't down to the paper, but the printing technique) that has designs on and when ironed onto fabric (including cotton) they leave a 'print' of the design. You can normally get 5-10 copies, lightening every time, off one design. I've asked almost everyone who already makes them and no-one has been willing to share their trade secrets.

So... Does anyone know what kind of printer and/or ink might do this? Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated!

Stephanie

Is it not the same stuff tattoo studios use?

I'm guessing not as you need heat to transfer it but will have a look... thanks!
