Re: Freesub Double Digital Mug Heat Press
A few questions about this....
Can you set the idle temperature to the same pressing temperature of 180?
So just press and go without waiting about for it to start?
Does it beep constantly in-between the pressing of mugs?
That annoying safety feature that tells you the mug press is ready.
Does it have good edge to edge handle printing?
Does the blanket stand up to heavy use?
I have a couple of budget presses which get tired after 20 or so mugs. This seems a bit too cheap for a commercial workhorse.
Thanks

I have this mug press and these tec question you should ask dye sublimation supplies. Adam went over and what what was required to help me. It only bleeps when the mug is done and pressed when you insert another mug in. I have just finished doing a 100 mugs and it was excellent. I would highly recommend this mug press and I do not do this lightly. Hope this helps
Re: Freesub Double Digital Mug Heat Press
Had one delivered today, just taken it out the box but I can say the preheat will go up to 180 max

you wouldn't want to set idle at full temperature - means mug would start to sub the instant you offer it into the clamp - bound to be some movement of the paper = goast images etc
also - the actual mug needs some time to warm up - temp dips for a while and rises back up to idle temp, then you are ready to cook.
imho

Re: Freesub Double Digital Mug Heat Press
Also have the resting temp gives you time to put in a mug, take the paper off done mug and press the buttons to go again. I found doing a large amount of mugs as soon as I took out mug and then put one in straight away then pressed the button then the pressed the blue button, beeping stopped and the temp drop down to 170 so did not take long to get back to 180 and and timer counted down and a mugs work well, I made the mistake of pressing blue button when it beeped then took the mug out, by the time I got the next mug ready the temp went to about 135 which made doing 100 mugs longer. Hope that make sense. not very good at explaining things. I'm too long winded sorry

Re: Freesub Double Digital Mug Heat Press
I just set it to 180 degrees, put mug in, bring it out 3 mins later. Straight in with the next..flawless method for over 15 years! I've never needed digital this and that, pre temps and beeps.
Re: Freesub Double Digital Mug Heat Press
I did 36 mugs this morning and it took 85 mins on the mug press. Also no snags and mugs came out well.

Re: Freesub Double Digital Mug Heat Press
Don't forget that it's a double mug press we're talking about here so not necessarily 2mins 30secs per mug, depending on if one or both blankets were being used.mr-gobby;123724 wrote:So 2 min 30 secs per mug then jenny? I've got this press and for what it's worth, like GoonerGary, I just set it to 180 degrees and put each mug in for 3 minutes. I stagger the two mug blankets by 90 seconds so that gives me plenty of time to take one mug out and put another one in whilst the other mug is sublimating. Had the machine for about a year now and can't fault it.
