I always tried to avoid transfer papers but i had a order that required cheap and cheerful printing. I decided to go for transfer paper. I tried many.From ebay NO NAME stuff, tesco transfer papers to more expensive, branded products. Jet Pro Softstretch is a winner for me!

We agree. Certainly on white textiles or natural cotton bags it works very well. We sell thousands of tote bags a year to the tourist industry using jet pro ss.

so it's about 50p an A4 - plus cost of inkjet ink .... which is A LOT ....- how does it compare to laser paper which is cheaper, and the toner is cheaper too?

there is no compression for me.
Laser is faster then ink jet but inkjet has nicer and wider colour gamut.

i never said is cheaper. I said there is no better transfer paper then one I used in the video. cheaper, often means worst.

Also, I am not sure what kind of prices people pay in Newcatle, but in my area £1 per transfer + t-shirt leave you tons of room for profit.

Works great with sublimation inks to using my normal ICC profile.

I'm relatively new to the game so please excuse my ignorance but if I'm reading and understanding this right, I can do full colour prints onto special paper with my sublimation ink and have the ability to press onto cotton providing a multi colour front?

You can either buy special polyester textiles which you can sublimate straight onto (as you would for say a coaster) or you can use a normal inkjet or laser printer to print onto heat transfer paper which is then heat pressed onto textiles.

Would it need to be light textile?

Yes for sublimation onto polyester but with laser then you can get paper for dark textiles which has a white backing.

I think Irish print is asking because webtrekker states above that the transfer paper works well with sublimation ink. I am a little confused by this myself. Why would you use sublimation ink onto jetpro soft stretch paper?
