Hey folks. Thrilled with new ICC profile from Paul, has totally sorted all colour change issues so very relieved. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions!

I've been asked to make a set of ten ceramic tiles for a splashback. I don't currently own a heat press, so to fulfil this order, I am wondering whether to

A) buy a cheap chinese swing-away press and hope for the best
B) buy a big expensive HP3805 from BMS (bit of an investment but will probably find lots of uses for it)
or C) find someone on here that can print a set of tiles for me as a stop-gap.

I can (just about) afford the BMS press, but I might be getting a bit ahead of myself for my first ever order!. Plus it looks huge and I wonder where I'm going to put it.

What would you do?

Ruth

IMO I'd get someone to do these for you. Bit of a learning curve with tiles so you may find wastage which will be costly.

Should be members on here doing these regularly so won't have the wastage issues. May be worth posting in member to member requests section.

Done properly a small mosaic like this can look stunning :-)

Thanks Justin - good advice I think. I've been in contact with someone on here who might be able to print some for me. I'm still itching to buy a press but trying to sit on my hands for a bit while someone else does the work (at least until it might stand a chance of paying for itself...!)
