Is this Chromaluxe? Always a good idea to print bleed and wrap around to avoid those white edges

Also a good idea to use Endura fabric to capture gasses.

I print Subli metals stock upside down as you did, Sawgrass engineer who visited me last week told me they never advise this

I don't wrap around, but I do print a couple of millimeters bleed all around, lay my alu sheet over the wrap, then tape over 2 edges. I press between 2 sheets of paper.

I press at 200/60 but the real 'secret' I find is to use hardly any pressure at all, basically just the weight of the platen plus a tiny bit more to avoid the 'marbling' effect.

i love to print some bleed but this is what my printer can do and no more
time to get something bigger. looking for A3+

ps. no, no chromalux. standard, white aluminium panel.

Yeah, I print mainly to alu sheet sized to the Ricoh print area (just less than A4 as it can't print borderless). This allows me room for a bleed and some tape.

Looking into Chromaluxe just now - http://www.xpres.co.uk/p-9213-chromalux ... xpres.aspx which is 203.2mm - literally 1mm shorter than the print area of the Ricoh. Is it the photo panel as in the link you are using?

I use the white and the white ultra glossy and get edge-to-edge prints with room left for a bleed.

Have you got you Ricoh set to maximum printable area in the driver?

The ultra-glossy does have a noticeably glossier surface than the one classed as 'white.' It's almost mirror-like and worth ordering a sheet or two to see the difference. Sublimetals also sell plastic and card stands for the sheets to make them free-standing.
