HI chaps!
Sometimes I am in need of laminating some of my stickers. Not big deal. maybe half a meter or maybe e 1m at most. and also not very often. As you probably understand, I don't need big cold laminator for this amount.
but...
I found manual laminators on ebay and they are small enough to put them in the corner if not used. this would be perfect solution for me. Question is, do they work???
I cant see any reason why not but preffer to ask in case somone use them and got some thing to share

I bought one of these but quickly discovered that I needed three hands to laminate anything long or wide. Purchased a motorised version and never looked back. You need to keep a little tension over the whole width of the laminate to ensure it feeds uniformly, difficult to do this and turn the wheel at the same time. If you have someone else around to help then the manual version is far cheaper.
If you fancy a bit of engineering then it would be possible to add a couple of vertical brackets to hold laminate roll which is self wound. The only downside is the need to use a full roll width for each job so possible extra waste.

Do you read this forum Paul? Haha. I asked about this a while ago, just bought a cheap electric laminator but not tested yet. I was going to try these but needed something that opened wider, mine is 25mm

I would love motorised version but for 50 stickers every now and then there is no way i will be buying one!

so I will give this one a go an see if it do the job.

Just had a quick look on eBay and found:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Manual-Cold-R ... Sw0e9Ut4GY
Which has a bracket for the lamination roll
And this motorised one which is the same price as my manual !. No idea of quality but may be worth a punt.

Hot and cold !, had to give up my heated vacuum press a while back but hot laminate provides an extremely durable protection layer for outside sinage.
