Hi Guys

I am looking for a very cheap printer to bang out black ink only dye sub prints on an almost daily basis. Current volume is about 500+ prints a week. Criteria is that it must be cheap and must be able to either run CISS (easily) or take refillable carts.

Resolution is not that important as the stuff printed is big, bold, and brassy. Speed would be nice, but not fussed as long as it will sit in the corner and keep quiet.

No need to recommend a Ricoh, I am a big fan and use them regularly. Just fancy looking at something else for a change.

What do you guys recommend.

I'm a fan of the office workforce printers. They have big 100ml XL carts (a built in CISS almost). Throw in some Sublinova Smart and you will have trouble free printing. The models change yearly, but these look similar to mine.

I'll second the Workforce. We've had an A2 one running almost non stop on a Cityinks CISS system for the past year. It's getting a bit clunky now but at that price it's cheep enough to just keep a spare and replace it.

That said, I just picked up a Stylus Pro 2400 for about £80 to hopefully replace it with, purely to give us slightly larger print options, so we'll see how that pans out.
