I have a SG3110dn printer and have started to run a bit low on ink. Can i use any sublimation ink or does it have to be the specific one for that printer?

What ink is in the machine now. If you have done things the right way around I would assume it is Sawgrass

Ricoh needs gel-based ink, so you must use specific ink. Either Sawgrass Sublijet or any other sub ink specially made for Ricoh's

I've seen a few on ebay and amazon that are cheaper, but weren't 100% sure if it had to be sublijet or a non-named brand one

You can use another brand but only if they say it's sublimation ink compatible with Ricoh's (because they need gel-based ink, while other printers use water-based ink). That said, I'm only talking about compatibility, quality is another thing, if you buy bad quality ink with no ICC profile you are wasting your money.
