Re: What a day !

Just thought I would enlighten everyone as to how my day has just gone!
I volunteered to be Daddy Day Care for the day as the missis needed to sort out some things, plus I thought I can give the kids the controls to the PS3 and leave them alone for a couple of hours.
So, I was on the laptop when one of my loveable rugrats came up to me and said "we played the demo, so we bought the game .......... !" ummmmmm, I thought - then looked at the TV to see the Playstation wallet had been deducted 20 odd quid for a frogger game - note to self ....... why didn't I password protect it when I had the chance!
Then, after doing some daily chores I sat down to have a quick read through some DSF posts and one of the kids said that the roof was leaking. We have had a little leak before in the toilet (where he had just been) so I thought it may be that again. Something grabbed my attention so I carried on reading the post. 30 mins past by and then I thought "a nice cup of tea" would go down a treat.
It was then that I walked into a kitchen floor covered in water, the seal was caught in the dishwasher and it was on a cycle! This was the 'leak' that my cherished one had refered to and all I had as I was on my hands and knees mopping was "told you Dad!".
Then I needed to print out something so I did and then realised that the printer light was on. So, off to the e-bay cupboard that's full with fleabay compatible cartidges and I replaced the empty ones ................ no joy. I then did a test print and head clean and then (to cut a long story short) found that the heads in the printer are blocked beyond repair! (damn those fleabay cartidges!).
So, now I need to fork out for a new printer, maybe a new dishwasher and also a hearing aid to 'listen' to the kids in future!
