I'm on the hunt for a back up mug. Can anyone tell me if the 10oz BMS European mugs are manufactured in India or Thailand? Do they require the base to be pre-heated when doing a full top to bottom print?

Don't know where they are made but I pre-heat them! I've not long started pressing and just had a customer say it cracked tonight after about 100 cups of tea. So not happy at the moment but I know these things happen!

I would expect it to crack with the first cuppa if it was flawed. After a 100 it's probably had a wack somewhere.
I dug out something a while back, and listed life expectancy of a mug as 50 uses.

My thoughts exactly, I have a mug which is used most days and is now 35 years old! Not sure how they worked it out.

50 uses!
The Duraglaze mugs are obviously over-engineered if they have been tested through 2000 dishwasher cycles.
I have mugs going strong that have been used over 2000 times. At my prices my customers would not be very happy if I gave them a life of just 50 uses.

We use those and don't pre-heat.
